The mare owner listed above has agreed to bred the above mare for a breeding fee of $________.

This agreement is subject to the following conditions:

Stud Fee: If no booking fee has been paid, a fee of $400 is to be paid to Tommy or Kathy Jones upon arrival of the mare at S. W. Beech Stables or prior to the shipment of semen to the mare’s location. If a booking fee of $200 has been paid, the balance is to be paid to the Jones by the mare owner prior to the mare’s departure from the stables or prior to the shipment of semen. If the same mare owner has multiple mares he wishes to breed in the same breeding season, a multiple mare discount of $50 per mare is given.

Shipping of semen: The mare owner must inform the stallion owners by telephone at least 48 hours in advance to meet shipping deadlines. The fee for shipping semen, which includes a disposable shipping container, semen collection, and overnight shipping via FedEx or UPS, is an additional $100 per shipment. The mare owner agrees to return the shipping container after the mare is inseminated. The stud fee of $400 plus the $100 collection and shipping fee is due prior to shipping. We encourage the mare owner to work closely with your veterinarian.

The S.W. Beech Stables assumes responsibility to ship semen in a viable condition at the time of delivery to the mare owner’s farm or other designated location. The stables assumes no responsibility for the loss of semen viability or associated expense due to any delay in shipment, airline schedules, or delay in courier services beyond our control. A licensed veterinarian or authorized technician must administer the semen on the day of delivery.
The mare owner understand and assumes the special risk inherent in breeding with the use of transported semen and shall hold S. W. Beech Stables and the Jones harmless for any losses suffered due to an unsuccessful attempt at conception.

For boarding at S. W. Beech Stables, the mare must have a current Coggins, be healthy, and in sound breeding condition. Mares will be boarded for all-inclusive fee of $10 per day, which includes a stall, feeding, and exams to check for ovulation or pregnancy. There will be no additional veterinarian charges without first notifying the owner. Stallion owner shall not be held liable for disease, injury, or death of mares. The boarding fee is a separate charge from the breeding fee, and the boarding fee must be paid to the stables before the mare leaves the farm.

Live Foal with Color Guarantee: Should the mare fail to produce a spotted foal that stands and nurses, the mare owner shall notify the stallion owner within three days of foaling and loss. A statement from a licensed veterinarian may be requested by the stallion owners. The mare owner has up to one year after the foal’s death to rebreed the mare or a substitute mare.

Payments may be made by cash, personal check, money order, or cashiers check.
